Job summary

PPG Industries, Inc. is seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst to join the Specialty Synthesis Group at the Monroeville, PA facility. You will support analytical testing, batch dispositions and quality system activities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The role requires a BS in chemistry or related field with experience in HPLC/UPLC/GC analysis and a readiness to perform light lifting; you will collaborate with production and QC teams to ensure product quality.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in chemistry related field preferred with experience in quantitative analysis of HPLC, UPLC and GC techniques.
• Quality Control or Quality Assurance experience is desirable.
• Ability to perform light duty work including lifting a minimum of 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Timely preparation and submission of analytical samples for incoming raw materials, in-process batches and finished goods
• Tabulation and interpretation of analytical test data
• Liaison between production groups and QC Test Lab.
• Raw material and batch approval to established specifications
• Reporting and communication of batch dispositions
• Participation in root cause investigations and problem-solving activities
• Support Quality Management System Activities
• Develop personally and professionally through work experience and by acquisition of new skills as determined by the expanding needs of the position.
