Job summary

The YGS Group is seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst to strengthen our ISO 9001 Quality Management System, improve manufacturing processes, and ensure every product meets the highest quality and customer expectations.

You will partner with production, engineering, scheduling, prepress, finishing, and leadership to drive continuous improvement and quality across our manufacturing operations, including developing SOPs and training teams on quality standards.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • 2-5 years of Quality Assurance, Quality Engineering, or related manufacturing experience.
  • Experience performing Root Cause Analysis and implementing corrective actions.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support and maintain ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Lead quality investigations and Root Cause Analyses (RCA).
  • Manage Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) and Non-Conforming Material Reports (NCMR).
  • Conduct quality inspections and process audits.
  • Identify trends through production and quality data analysis.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and quality documentation.
  • Train and support operational teams on quality standards and best practices.
  • Monitor compliance with customer requirements, internal standards, ISO requirements, and SOC controls.
  • Communicate quality metrics, findings, and recommendations to leadership.
  • Support special projects and organizational quality initiatives.

What You'll Do

As our Quality Assurance Analyst, you'll partner with production, engineering, scheduling, prepress, finishing, and leadership teams to improve quality throughout our manufacturing operation.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Supporting and maintaining our ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Leading quality investigations and Root Cause Analyses (RCA).
  • Managing Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) and Non-Conforming Material Reports (NCMR).
  • Conducting quality inspections and process audits.

What We're Looking For

Successful candidates will bring:

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • 2-5 years of Quality Assurance, Quality Engineering, or related manufacturing experience.
  • Experience performing Root Cause Analysis and implementing corrective actions.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • ASQ Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA).
  • Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt or Green Belt.
  • Experience with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
  • Knowledge of commercial print manufacturing, including offset, digital, wide-format printing, finishing, and bindery operations.
  • Experience using ERP or estimating systems such as Pace (EPS).
  • Experience supporting regulated manufacturing or quality systems.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to:

  • Work in both office and manufacturing environments.
  • Sit, stand, and walk throughout the workday.
  • Inspect products, equipment, and production processes.
  • Frequently use hands and fingers for computer and documentation work.
  • Occasionally climb stairs or ladders.
  • Occasionally lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds, with frequent lifting of up to 10 pounds.
  • Travel occasionally between company facilities (approximately 5%).
