Job summary

Anheuser-Busch is seeking a Laboratory Analyst in Houston to support the supply group with routine beer analyses and quality testing. You will perform pH, alcohol, mineral analyses and ensure packaged beer quality, while coordinating results and contributing to process improvements.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in a science field, familiarity with lab safety and GMP, and flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a science field required (Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, or Microbiology).
  • Ability to operate lab instruments and perform basic maintenance.
  • Knowledge of lab safety, sanitation, and GMP concepts.

Responsibilities

  • Run routine analytical analyses on beer samples (pH, alcohol, minerals).
  • Test packaged beer for oxygen, CO2, fill level and integrity.
  • Coordinate quality analyses and report results promptly.
  • Support container inspection and process optimization studies.

They also oversee aluminum can manufacturing, barley fields, hop farms and a rice mill. Life in the brewery is non-stop action with high-speed lines, tight production schedules and unbelievably high-quality standards. Our customers expect the best and the Supply team provides it.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Run routine analytical analyses on beer samples including: ph, billings, alcohol, sodium, and ironRun routine analyses of packaged beer for oxygen, carbon dioxide, fill level, etc.Routine testing of pasteurizers for proper pasteurizationConduct inspection and analysis of package integrity and specificationsCoordinate quality analyses ensuring accurate results, timely completion, and proper responses and notificationPerform various studies and perform statistical analyses to improve quality throughout the breweryOther routine laboratory testing, as neededJOB QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in a science-intensive discipline (e.g. Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, etc.) Ability to operate laboratory instruments and perform basic instrument maintenanceKnowledge of basic laboratory safety, sanitation, procedures and techniques.Strong technical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsSolid interpersonal skills and team orientationMust be flexible to work varying shifts during this week.
