Job summary

Anheuser-Busch is seeking qualified candidates for a Brewery Utilities Operator in Columbus, OH. The role covers steam, CO2 collection, ammonia refrigeration, and related utility systems on a rotating shift schedule.

You'll support high-speed production, maintain safety standards, and respond to requests from production teams. Weekend work and potential overtime are part of the schedule; strong teamwork and basic computer skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Ohio 3rd Class Stationary Engineer license required.
  • Familiarity with automated process control systems desired.
  • Experience with boilers, ammonia refrigeration, and related equipment is preferred.
  • Basic computer skills and a positive, self-motivated attitude are essential.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate Brewery Utilities systems including steam, CO2 collection, ammonia refrigeration and dehumidification, compressed air and water.
  • Perform boiler water and cooling tower water chemical treatment.
  • Responsible for process management, basic maintenance tasks, lubrication, housekeeping, and sanitation.
  • Document and respond to all activities that occur during shift of responsibility.
  • Respond to customer department requests for assistance with Utility system optimization and/or isolation.
  • The position involves working weekends and in a quality, food-processing environment.
  • Many opportunities to work overtime, including working scheduled days off.

SALARY:
  • $41.191/hr. for first 60 days, $41.891/hr. afterwards
  • Total Annual Earnings of $105,000 - $160,000
  • Scheduled days off paid 1.5x rate and Sunday's/Holidays paid 2x rate
SHIFT:
  • 1st: 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM
  • 2nd: 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM
  • 3rd: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM
  • Rolling schedule: work 7 days, 1 day off, work 7, 2 off, work 7, 4 off

ROLE SUMMARY:

Our Supply group is responsible for brewing, packaging and shipping the famous Budweiser beer. They also oversee aluminum can manufacturing, barley fields, hop farms and a rice mill. Life in the brewery is non-stop action with high-speed lines, tight production schedules and unbelievably high quality standards. This is a place where we measure productivity in seconds, not hours, days or weeks. Paramount in all of this is a commitment to safety above all else and social responsibility. 99.8% of everything that enters our breweries is either completely used in the process or recycled. We also dedicate those big, high-speed lines to help our communities during times of disaster by packaging cans of emergency drinking water. JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • At least an Ohio 3rd Class Stationary Engineer license required
  • Applicants should be familiar with automated process control systems
  • Experience in the following areas is desired: water tube medium pressure boilers; large-scale ammonia refrigeration systems; compressed air systems; cooling tower systems; CO2 gas collection and liquefaction systems
  • Applicant must have basic computer skills
  • Applicant must have a positive work attitude and be self-motivated
  • Demonstrated ability to operate in a team-oriented environment
