Job summary

Anheuser-Busch is hiring a Packaging Line Operator at the Devils Backbone Outpost location. This entry-level role involves operating high-speed canning and kegging equipment, performing start-up and cleaning tasks, and ensuring food safety and sanitation across packaging lines.

You will work Sunday through Thursday, 11pm–7am, with a 10% shift differential for overnight hours. Ideal candidates are 21+, with interest in craft beer and the ability to work autonomously within a team.

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent required.
• Knowledge and a passion for craft beer.
• Ability to work autonomously and within a team.
• General knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
• Ability to interpret technical bulletins and schematics on equipment.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate high speed packaging equipment – kegging and canning.
• Perform daily start-up and cleanup procedures on packaging stations.
• Uphold food safety and sanitation standards.
• Assist maintenance with troubleshooting and repair of equipment.
• Perform daily basic maintenance on machinery.

• Stack and palletize finished products for storage.

This position is entry-level. This position can be a physically fast paced position, requiring the individual to be technologically astute, easily adaptable, and flexible. The PLO is responsible for operating can-filling machinery, keg- filling machinery, packaging machinery, and other general packaging tasks and operations. The PLO works as a valuable team member, and the position’s focus is on maintaining consistency and timeliness within the distribution packaging function—all while maintaining the high quality that Devils Backbone is known for. The PLO will typically work under close supervision.Job Responsibilities:Works closely with the Packaging Supervisor, Warehouse Manager, and other team members to ensure smooth operation of packaging machinery and equipment.Operate high speed packaging equipment – kegging and canning.Performs daily start-up and clean-up procedures on all assigned packaging stations.Uphold food safe environment through quality and sanitation.Works with maintenance employees/personnel to assist with equipment problems and troubleshooting.Performs daily basic maintenance for machinery.Assists in the production records management.Works to achieve packaging/distribution short and long-term goals and metrics.Adheres to all safety precautions rules and guidelines.Routinely uses a computer for accessing email and other company communication platforms, SDS safety sheets, SOPs, and other job or company related information.May stack and palletize finished product and prepares for cold-room storage.May have to use computer for accessing SDS safety sheets/protocols and interpret the protocols into actions.Involves frequent walking, lifting, and carrying objects weighing 32lbs routinely throughout a shift.Must be able to maneuver 200lbs kegs from filler to pallet.Frequent use of hand/eye coordination and manipulation of cardboard boxes, packing tape, machinery, etc.Ability to multi-task effectively.Other duties as assigned.Job Qualifications:High School degree or equivalent requiredMust be 21-years of age.Production/manufacturing/mechanical experience strongly preferred.Previous manufacturing experience in food and/or beverage industry preferredKnowledge and a passion for craft beerAbility to work autonomously, and within a teamwork environment.General knowledge of occupational hazards and necessary safety precautions associated with work.Ability to interpret technical bulletins and schematics on equipment related to work.Ability to follow oral and written instructions.Ability to distinguish color for safety signs.WHY ANHEUSER-BUSCH:At Anheuser-Busch, our purpose is to create a future with more cheers.
