Job description

COME JOIN OUR TEAM!

TPC is an international premier debt financier in the film and television industry offering an array of complementary services including tax credit advisory, brokerage, legal delivery, and post-production accounting. We make content creators’ ideas a reality by leveraging our exceptional services in support of their creative projects.

We are currently in search of a Quality Assurance Analyst to join our Commercials division. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, who can multi-task and stay organized across a variety of tasks and deadlines.

WHO WE ARE

TPC’s Commercials division is the recognized leader in obtaining and managing production incentives for corporate advertisers, TPC Commercials has built an unmatched track record of delivering measurable financial value to some of the world's most prominent brands.

To date, TPC Commercials Division has:

  • Partnered with over 180 brands across the advertising industry
  • Supported more than 1,000 commercial production projects
  • Secured over $120 million in production incentives on behalf of our clients

Our deep expertise at the intersection of finance, production, and advertising gives us a unique and powerful position in the marketplace — one we are actively expanding through new service offerings, new technology, and a bold new brand identity. This is an exciting moment to join our company and to help tell that story.

TPC Commercials’ offerings are interrelated with a unified goal of reducing friction in the creative supply chain that supports a corporate marketing organization. Our purposefully curated service lines will be supported by a custom-built, best-in-class platform — all of which will be rebranded to reflect our unique and evolving position in the advertising space.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a detail-oriented, curious, and collaborative Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst to join our Product & Technology team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their QA career who has hands-on experience testing digital applications and enjoys understanding how systems and business processes work.

The ideal candidate goes beyond simply following a test script. We are looking for someone who is naturally curious, thinks outside the box, asks thoughtful questions, and approaches testing from the perspective of the end user. You will work closely with Product, Engineering, and business users to understand workflows, translate requirements into test scenarios, identify issues, and help ensure we deliver reliable, intuitive, high-quality applications.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform hands-on functional testing of web-based and digital applications across new features, enhancements, and bug fixes.
  • Review product requirements and user stories to understand intended functionality, business rules, and expected outcomes.
  • Partner with Product Managers, Business Analysts, developers, and business users to clarify requirements and identify potential gaps or edge cases.
  • Work directly with users and subject matter experts to understand current workflows, business processes, and real-world use cases.
  • Translate business workflows and user stories into comprehensive test scenarios, test cases, and acceptance criteria.
  • Identify positive, negative, boundary, and edge-case testing scenarios rather than testing only the expected "happy path."
  • Create and maintain appropriate test data needed to validate functionality across different scenarios, user types, and workflows.
  • Execute functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing.
  • Validate application behavior across different user roles, permissions, workflows, and data conditions.
  • Identify, reproduce, document, and track defects through resolution.
  • Write clear bug reports that include reproducible steps, expected versus actual results, supporting screenshots or documentation, severity/impact, and relevant test data.
  • Work closely with Engineering to reproduce issues, answer questions, validate fixes, and perform regression testing.
  • Communicate testing progress, defects, risks, and blockers clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog refinement, stand-ups, demos, and retrospectives.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including helping business users understand what to test and capturing and triaging their feedback.
  • Help continuously improve QA processes, test coverage, documentation, and overall product quality.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
  • 2+ years of experience in customer support, client success, or technical support role, preferably within a SaaS or technology platform environment
  • Interest in advertising, production and/or finance
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve software or platform issues independently and under time constraints
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain SLA compliance in a fast-paced environment
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to work cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, and Account Management teams
  • Comfortable working a hybrid schedule with 2 days per week on-site at our Los Angeles office and occasional collaborative days in El Segundo
  • Experience with client onboarding workflows or implementation support for a B2B platform
  • Familiarity with tiered support models (Tier 1 / Tier 2 / Tier 3) and escalation best practices
  • Background in creating and maintaining help documentation, knowledge bases, or training materials
  • Exposure to basic technical concepts such as APIs, data integrations, or web-based platforms
  • Experience using project management or internal collaboration tools such as Jira, Notion, Confluence, or Slack
  • Experience working within ticketing systems such as Zendesk, Intercom, Freshdesk, or similar platforms
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
  • 1+ year of hands-on QA/testing experience with web-based, SaaS, or other digital applications.
  • Experience creating and executing test cases and test scenarios.
  • Ability to read and understand user stories, business requirements, and functional specifications.
  • Experience defining or contributing to clear, testable acceptance criteria.
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with the ability to identify scenarios that may not be explicitly documented.
  • A curious mindset and willingness to ask questions such as "What happens if…?" and "How would a user actually use this?"
  • Experience creating and managing test data.
  • Ability to effectively reproduce, document, prioritize, and communicate software defects.
  • Understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and basic QA methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum product development environments.
  • Strong attention to detail while still understanding the broader business workflow and user experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and build positive working relationships with Product, Engineering, and business users.
  • Comfortable working independently while knowing when to upscale questions, risks, or blockers.
  • Organized and able to manage testing across multiple features or workstreams.
PREFERRED
  • Basic SQL and relational database experience, including the ability to query data to validate application behavior.
  • Experience testing financial, payment, invoicing, accounting, lending, or other transaction-based applications.
  • Experience with Commercial, Advertising, Media, or Production-related applications and workflows.
  • Experience testing role-based access, approval workflows, dashboards, reporting, or data-heavy applications.
  • Exposure to automated testing tools or frameworks.
  • Interest or experience using AI-assisted tools for QA, including generating test scenarios, identifying edge cases, creating test data, analyzing defects, or supporting automated testing.
  • Basic understanding of browser developer tools and troubleshooting web applications.
  • Familiarity with testing integrations between multiple applications or third-party services.
WHAT WE OFFER
  • Competitive salary of $65,000 - $77,000 annually, commensurate with experience
  • Full‑time position with hybrid work schedule that includes 2 days per week onsite in our Los Angeles office
  • Collaborative, supportive team culture with opportunities to grow
