Job summary

Tioga Pipe, Inc. is seeking a documentation specialist to review and prepare qualification documents for steel pipe, tubing, fittings, flanges and related products for nuclear power generation, ASME and ASTM compliance.

Responsibilities include verifying orders and supplier certificates, producing accompanying documentation, and collaborating with customers, suppliers, testing labs and inspectors to ensure accurate shipment documentation.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; secondary education preferred.
  • Familiarity with ASME Section II or related regulations.
  • Quality- and safety-conscious, detail-oriented, with prior experience handling documentation of a technical nature.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, and to write technical reports and correspondence.
  • Effective verbal and written communication of technical information inside and outside the organization.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry, including calculating figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.

Responsibilities

  • Review and verify internal sales order documentation and supplier purchase orders for technical requirements and accuracy.
  • Prepare all necessary documentation and certification to accompany shipment of materials.
  • Review documentation and certification provided by suppliers.
  • Collaborate with customers, suppliers, third-party testing labs, and government quality inspectors and personnel.
  • Work cross-functionally within Tioga to ensure successful and accurate completion of customer orders.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Tioga Pipe, Inc. is a privately held supplier of pipe, tubing, fittings, flanges, and related products in chrome-alloy steel, stainless steel, carbon steel and nickel alloy steels primarily servicing the global energy and power generation business. The company has been in business for over 75 years and is a top material supplier for global power generation, nuclear power, oil refining, gas and chemical processing, and U.S. military shipbuilding. Tioga operates from two regional centers located in Pennsylvania and Texas with one of the largest and most comprehensive inventories in the United States. Core competencies include professional project management, comprehensive inventory, worldwide mill relationships, quality programs, and extensive market knowledge.

Position Summary

Work in a team environment reviewing and preparing documentation related to the qualification of steel pipe, tubing, fittings, flanges, and other related products for the nuclear power generation industry, ASME, ASTM and customer specifications.
