Project Overview
Seekinga Quality Assurance Analyst to support the implementation of small- tolarge-scale projects within the Systems Applications Integration andDevelopment team. The resource will serve as a system-testing specialist forMedicaid enrollment and eligibility systems, including document management andworkflows. The role will also support projects involving Medicaid enrollment,eligibility, claims processing, and related subsystems by evaluating proposedand implemented solutions and recommending improvements.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Develop test plans, QA and UserAcceptance Testing processes, test cases, scripts, and scenarios forproduct management and software development teams.
- Design and support user interface,application, regression, negative, usability, reliability, and stabilitytesting.
- Perform smoke testing, system integrationtesting, and end-to-end testing across multiple systems and applications.
- Implement testing programs to ensure thequality, reliability, performance, and usability of technicalapplications.
- Conduct quality assessments to identifysecurity flaws, software defects, performance issues, and optimizationopportunities.
- Identify testing issues and action items,recommend solutions, track planned completion dates, and reportimpediments to leadership.
- Maintain defect databases containingproduct defects, user feedback, survey information, testing outcomes, andrecommended functional improvements.
- Collaborate with product developmentteams, software engineers, architects, technicians, business stakeholders,vendors, and management to resolve defects and improve applicationperformance.
- Define, implement, and promote internaland industry-standard QA practices, processes, policies, and testingguidelines.
- Ensure projects comply withsoftware-testing governance policies, standards, and best practices, andrecommend process improvements.
- Conduct reviews, walkthroughs, andinspections in accordance with established governance standards.
- Review and approve vendor unit-testingand system-integration test plans and results.
- Guide on preparing and review of testplans, test scripts, test scenarios, and test reports.
- Monitor testing progress againstestablished targets, report exceptions, and coordinate corrective actions.
- Document testing feedback, results,defects, risks, and recommendations, and communicate outcomes tomanagement.
- Complete assignedproject-testing activities accurately and within established timelines.
Requirements
Education and Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical,business, or healthcare field. Or 5+ years of equivalent experience inQuality Assurance.
Required Skills:
- Five or more years of experience inQuality Assurance and Quality Control.
- Five or more years of experiencetranslating business requirements or policy documentation into test casesand test scenarios and incorporating them into test-management systems.
- Three or more years of hands-onexperience with the Sahi Pro or Selenium automation framework.
- Experience designing and developingautomated test scripts using established test-automation guidelines.
- Working knowledge of at least one of thefollowing process or maturity models: SPICE, TPI, TMMi, or the CMMI OPF,OPD, and PPQA process areas.
- Hands-on experience with formaltest-design techniques, including Equivalence Class Partitioning andPairwise Analysis.
- Experience using test-design toolssuchas PICT or an equivalent orthogonal-testing tool.
Preferred Skills:
- Five or more years of experiencesupporting large enterprise or e-business systems.
- Three or more years of Medicaid orhealthcare experience, with a strong understanding of healthcareoperations and business processes; Medicaid experience is preferred.
- Experience with X12 standards and HIPAAEDI transactions.
- Proficiency with the Atlassian toolsuite, including Jira and Confluence.
- Experience working in both standardWaterfall SDLC environments and Agile delivery environments.
Additional Skills:
- Excellent written and verbalcommunication skills, with strong English proficiency and the ability todocument requirements and use cases clearly.
- Experience developing and maintainingtest scenarios and test cases and supporting the execution of testingactivities.
- Ability to prepare and communicate statusreports covering open issues, defects, and gaps identified during testing.
- Ability to clearly explain testingresults, defects, and required actions to development teams and otherstakeholders.Effective team player who works well with cross-functionalgroups.
