Job summary

Yulista Contract Services LLC is seeking an Aviation Quality Assurance Technical Inspector (UH-60) to perform on-site maintenance flight/test operations in support of the US Army Flight Test Directorate at Redstone Arsenal, AL. The role requires extensive Army Aviation maintenance experience, FAA A&P licensure, and the ability to obtain security clearance.

The candidate will implement quality and safety plans, conduct inspections, document results, and communicate findings to the team.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor’s Degree in management, aviation maintenance or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years’ Army Aviation maintenance experience.
• FAA A&P License required.
• Experience with Army rotary wing maintenance and TAMMS-A is preferred.
• Ability to obtain/maintain Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Implements quality control and safety plans to ensure contract compliance.
• Inspects all phases of goods/operations for conformity to standards.
• Ensures services listed on the performance requirement summary are performed satisfactorily.
• Performs scheduled and unscheduled inspections.
• Communicates deficiencies and follows up to ensure corrections.
• Uses Microsoft Office and can learn additional software as needed.
• Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures.
• Clear communication with management and staff at all levels.
• Document result of inspections and maintain quality control files.
• MAY perform other related duties as assigned.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in management, production management, aviation maintenance, professional aeronautics or aviation quality

Army rotary wing and commercial aviation maintenance knowledge

Developmental flight testing experience

Job description

Primary Function

The Aviation Quality Assurance Technical Inspector (UH-60) is responsible for providing full on-site maintenance flight/functional Check Flight Operations to support the US Army Flight Test Directorate (AFTD at Redstone Arsenal, AL. The support will be conducted in accordance with current Army directives, including but not limited to, AR 95-1 and AR 95-20. Areas for support to be provided include completion of all maintenance test flights on AFTD aircraft, fault isolation and troubleshooting, and management of internal contractor pilot and non-rated crewmember flight records. This is to ensure all aircraft, aircraft component and shop inspections and tasks performed are compliant to Yulista Quality Management System (QMS) processes and procedures as well as all applicable/approved technical data. Perform visual and physical evaluations, testing and control of parts, products and raw materials to ensure conformity to established specifications, applicable standards of quality. Provide technical assistance, when needed, to determine the correct course of action to resolve maintenance problems.

• The Quality Control/Technical Inspector implements quality control and safety plans to ensure compliance with contract specification and applicable regulations.
• Inspects all phases of a variety of goods, services or operations for conformity to established quality, health and safety, and other operational standards by performing on-going work for compliance with contractual provisions.
• Ensure all services listed on the performance requirement summary are performed in a satisfactory manner.
• Performs scheduled and unscheduled inspections.
• Communicates deficiencies to proper personnel and follows up when necessary to ensure that corrections are made.
• Must be able to use Microsoft Office Suite and can learn additional computer skills/software programs.
• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Effectively communicate with all levels of management and staff including interactions with other crew members.
• Perform basic mathematical computations.
• Accurately and thoroughly documents result of all inspections.
• Maintains accurate quality control files.
• Maybe required to perform other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities. This position has the responsibility and authority to carry out assigned tasks.

Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in management, production management, aviation maintenance, professional aeronautics with technical specializations or aviation quality is preferred.
• Must have thorough knowledge of Army rotary wing and commercial aviation maintenance practices and regulations.
• Verifiable experience applying aircraft maintenance techniques and quality control functions to include automated TAMMS-A.
• A minimum of two years of experience related to developmental flight testing is preferred.
• Must have verifiable experience applying aircraft maintenance techniques and quality control functions to include automated TAMMS-A.
• Must possess a level of experience necessary to inspect all aircraft assigned to AFTD.
• Must have or can have the ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years’ Army Aviation maintenance experience
• Must have completed a military aircraft repairer school of any of the following aircraft: (UH-60L/K/M/V).
• Must have a minimum of 3 years Army Aviation maintenance quality control experience and have graduated from the BNOCC or equivalent Technical Inspector Course from other services in the Armed Forces.
• Two years of experience related to developmental flight testing is preferred.
• FAA A&P License required.
