Job summary

The Carlstar Group is seeking a Quality Associate I to support production processes and ensure only acceptable products are released for shipment or use. You will inspect products, repair to cosmetic standards, and perform routine checks to keep quality targets on track.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED is required.
  • Minimum of 1 year in a manufacturing/distribution operation preferred.
  • Must read, write and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect products for defects using standard procedures and specifications.
  • Make repairs to product to restore cosmetic standards.
  • Perform routine checks or audits as assigned.
  • Apply labels or identification as needed.
  • Mark defects as required.
  • Communicate any non-conformance to production and quality.
  • Keep the workplace clean and orderly.
  • Achieve inspection rates as assigned to maintain targets.
  • Interact with production associates to address issues and prevent non-conformances.
  • Handle product and organize as assigned.
  • Interface with computer software and testing equipment to document information as needed.
  • Complete calibration, diagnostic and repair work on machinery to maintain uptime.

Job Purpose Statement:Quality Associate I position is responsible to support the production processes to ensure only acceptable products are released for shipment or use. The production process supported can change as business demands change.
