Job summary

MMI Engineered Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Quality Associate to join our manufacturing team in Saline, MI. This hands-on role focuses on inspections, maintaining quality documentation, and supporting production teams to address quality concerns.

The Quality Inspector will ensure parts and processes meet established standards. The position involves a 7:30am–3:00pm shift with cross-shift coverage as needed, and requires lifting up to 50 lbs on the production floor.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or 3 years of quality inspection experience.
• Familiarity with injection molding processes and/or components preferred
• Understanding of inspection techniques
• Experience using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and check fixtures.
• Strong communication and organization skills
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk on the production floor for extended periods
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

• Maintain First Article samples and Visual Acceptance Standard boards.
• Maintain Quality Process books and ensure inspection sheets are filled during each run.
• Perform dimensional checks on parts being manufactured.
• Support production teams on quality issues and containment actions.
• Assist with floor inspections, including process books, gauging parts, and internal sorting.
• Contribute to plant-wide 5S initiatives.
• Cover all shifts as needed, including call offs and scheduled vacation time.

MMI Engineered Solutions is looking to add a Quality Associate to our manufacturing team. This hands‑on role is responsible for performing inspections, maintaining quality documentation, and supporting production teams in identifying and addressing quality concerns. The Quality Inspector will play an important role in ensuring parts and processes consistently meet establish quality standards.

Schedule: A set home shift of 7:30am – 3:00pm, with cross‑shift coverage on morning, afternoon, or night shifts as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain First Article samples and VAS (Visual Acceptance Standard) boards
• Maintain Quality Process books, while ensuring all parameters on inspection check sheets are filled during each run.
• Perform dimensional checks on parts being manufactured.
• Support production teams on quality issues and containment actions
• Assist with floor inspections, including process books, gaging parts, and internal sorting.
• Contribute to plant‑wide 5S (Clean, Organized, Safe) initiatives
• Cover all shifts as needed, including call offs and scheduled vacation time. For a definite or indefinite period of time.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma, and/or 3 years of experience in a quality inspection or auditing role
• Familiarity with injection molding processes and/or components preferred
• Understanding of inspection techniques
• Experience using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and check fixtures.
• Strong communication and organization skills
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk on the production floor for extended periods
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Work Environment & Expectations:

• This position requires attention to detail, a hands‑on approach, and strong communication with cross‑functional teams.
• Work under direct supervision and follow established procedures while maintaining awareness of safety and quality across the floor.
• About 90% of your time will be spent in the manufacturing environment, and you'll be expected to act quickly when quality or safety concerns arise.
