Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Quality Associate in Fort Dodge, IA to join the QA Release Group and Process Team. You will review batch records and related technical docs to ensure regulatory compliance with USDA, FDA, and EU standards, while providing real-time QA guidance to production staff.

The role requires 1–2 years in a GMP-regulated environment and hands-on experience with batch records, SOPs, and quality investigations. It’s a contract-to-hire, onsite position offering 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline or equivalent experience.
• 1–2 years in a GMP-regulated environment (pharma or biologics).
• Experience reviewing GMP documents such as batch records, SOPs and investigations.
• Ability to work 8 hours per day, Monday–Friday in a 40-hour week.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve batch records and related docs for production, validation and change control.
• Provide real-time QA support on the floor for batch reviews and process audits.
• Support deviation management, root cause analysis and investigation reporting.
• Assist with internal/external audits and track continuous improvement goals.

Job Title: Quality Associate

Join a dynamic QA Release Group and Process Team where you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and compliance of our production processes with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed review and approval of batch records and associated technical documentation for routine production, validation, and change control activities to ensure compliance with USDA, FDA, and EU regulations.
• Provide real-time, on-the-floor quality support for batch reviews, process auditing, and quality guidance to production personnel and the Process Team.
• Support the deviation management process by identifying non-conformances, determining root cause, and participating in investigation report writing.
• Assist with internal and external inspection audits by helping with preparation and response, and support the Process Team by tracking and reporting on continuous improvement goals.
• Execute usage decisions and release transactions in SAP to manage product movement and final disposition for product release.

Essential Skills

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a scientific discipline; or a High School Diploma / GED with equivalent relevant experience.
• At least 1-2 years of experience in a GMP-regulated environment, such as pharmaceuticals or biologics.

Work Environment

The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 1st shift. The position offers flexibility around start and end times but requires working 8 hours per day, totaling 40 hours per week.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Dodge, IA.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
