Qualifications

  • Ability to read and interpret manufacturing documentation, drawings and work instructions.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Problem-solving mindset and proactive approach.
  • Ability to learn and apply Northway quality standards.
  • Basic computer skills for recordkeeping and documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Train and coach employees on Northway’s quality standards and expectations.
  • Help team members identify quality issues within their areas before products move on.
  • Answer questions and provide guidance on quality requirements and workmanship standards.
  • Perform routine quality checks and audits to verify standards are followed.
  • Assist in investigating quality issues and identifying root causes.
  • Work with production teams to prevent defects and reduce rework.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality and process consistency.
  • Communicate quality concerns and improvement opportunities to supervisors and management.
  • Help develop and maintain quality training materials, reference guides, and visual standards.
  • Promote a culture where every employee takes ownership of quality.

Northway Industries is seeking a Quality Assistant to help promote and maintain quality standards throughout our manufacturing operations. This position focuses on supporting employees, providing training, and helping teams understand what quality looks like in their work areas.

The Quality Assistant works closely with production, engineering, and management to identify potential quality concerns, communicate standards, and support continuous improvement efforts. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who enjoys working with people, solving problems, and helping others succeed.
