Qualifications

  • High School graduate or equivalent; Medical Assistant Certification and 3 years experience in a health care setting
  • Experience with EHR orders, results, referrals, and prior authorizations
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft products
  • Ability to interact with physicians and other health care workers in a professional, productive manner
  • Excellent verbal and written communication including email
  • Excellent human relations skills to serve as a team member
  • Adaptable to change
  • Detail oriented with excellent organization skills
  • Applicable clearances per HR-106 within 90 days

Job description

Office Location: Baden, PA
Work Hours: Monday thru Friday daylight, 8 hours per day

The Quality Assistant is responsible for assisting the Population Health team with meeting quality goals, containing cost and improving performance utilization. The assistant works closely with the practice based care managers, the physician practice managers and office staff for support with various quality initiatives. Provides clerical support of the quality team by uploading information to the various insurance portals, sorting and compiling reports for distribution to the quality team, assisting with gap and order correspondence electronically or telephonically. Maintain various quality forms for the physician practices. Assists in the education of new policies and procedures designed to enhance quality care. Ensures quality and regulatory standards are being met.

Required

  • High School graduate or equivalent, Medical Assistant Certification (i.e., AAMA CMA, AMT RMA, NHA CCMA, or NCCT NCMA), and 3 years of experience in a health care organization interacting directly with patients or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience with EHR orders, results, referrals, and prior authorizations
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft products.
  • Ability to effectively interact with physicians and other health care workers in a professional, productive manner.
  • Must have the ability to expertly communicate verbally and in writing including the use of electronic mail.
  • Must possess excellent human relations skills to serve as a member of a team.
  • Must be adaptable to change
  • Must be detailed oriented with excellent organization skills
  • Applicable clearances as outlined in Human Resources policy HR-106 within 90 days of employment

Preferred

  • Experience and knowledge of population health strategy
  • Understanding of value based reimbursement programs
