Job summary

Balanced Body, a Sacramento-based premium Pilates equipment manufacturer, is seeking a Quality Manager to own quality from supplier to customer. You will write acceptance criteria, lead the MRB, and drive a disciplined, data-driven quality system while doing hands-on floor work in the early stages.

You will build metrics and dashboards in Excel; Power BI is a bonus, and you will collaborate with Supply Chain and EHS to maintain a high-performance quality function.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive quality experience in discrete manufacturing, including 3+ years leading a team.
• Hands-on ownership of a QMS (QT9 or equivalent) — CAPA, NCP, MRB, and audit management.
• Real supplier quality experience: FAI, PPAP or equivalent, supplier audits, and corrective action follow-through.
• Direct customer-facing experience — complaint resolution, 8D reporting and commitments kept.
• Knack for writing acceptance criteria that hold up in a high-mix, craftsmanship-driven environment.
• Comfort building metrics and dashboards in Excel; Power BI is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Own the quality across the entire flow, from supplier dock to customer's door.
• Write acceptance criteria for each part family and chair the MRB.
• Drive QT9 as a living system with CAPA, non-conforming product trends, and audit readiness.
• Develop dashboards that leadership actually uses to manage quality and cost of poor quality.
• Work with suppliers on floors to build capability and controls where missing.
• Lead weekly quality/supply cadence with Supply Chain and cross-functional teams.
