Job summary

Balanced Body, a Sacramento-based manufacturer of premium Pilates equipment, is seeking a Quality Manager to own quality across the entire flow from supplier to customer. You will set acceptance criteria, drive QT9-based processes, and lead supplier quality improvements with hands-on floor activity in year one.

You will work as the voice of the customer, establishing disciplined, criteria-driven quality and dashboards.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive quality experience in discrete manufacturing with hands-on work on the floor.
• Hands-on ownership of a QMS (QT9 or equivalent) including CAPA, NCP, MRB, and audits.
• Real supplier quality experience: FAI, PPAP or equivalent, supplier audits, corrective action.
• Direct customer-facing experience with complaint resolution and 8D reporting.
• Ability to write clear acceptance criteria for parts in a high-mix, craft-focused environment.
• Comfort creating metrics and dashboards in Excel; Power BI is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Own quality across the full flow from supplier to customer door.
• Define acceptance criteria and chair the Material Review Board.
• Drive QT9-based QMS including CAPA, non-conforming product trends, and audits.
• Lead supplier quality improvements with small local suppliers and audits.
• Provide cross-functional leadership with weekly quality/supply cadence.
• Lead quality initiatives for new product launches and international sourcing.
