Pearson is seeking a Lead Specialist, Technical Architect (Quality) for ExamDeveloper to provide domain-level quality leadership. You will shape the quality system, mentor senior engineers, review critical QA work, and guide automation architecture across multiple Agile teams, including a distributed QA organization.

You will lead with expertise, not authority, focusing on test strategy, reliability, and release confidence, while staying current on industry best practices and AI-assisted QA

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of professional quality engineering, software testing, or test automation experience.
• 3+ years operating as a domain-level quality expert across complex, distributed platforms.
• Demonstrated influence on quality practices, automation frameworks, or standards across multiple teams.
• Deep experience with test automation strategy, tooling, and quality improvement.
• Experience in large product environments with multiple Agile teams and high release-readiness decisions.

Responsabilités

• Set strategic direction for the ExamDeveloper quality system, including process, automation, tooling, training, metrics, quality gates, and release confidence across the domain.
• Partner with Product Architect and Engineering leadership to determine long-term automation and quality strategy.
• Drive improvements to testing automation, efficiency, sustainability, and alignment to business risk.
• Establish quality metrics that inform decision-making (automation health, defect leakage, cycle time, release readiness).
• Mentor and coach senior quality engineers and build quality capability across teams.
• Represent quality in leadership discussions and with stakeholders when issues require domain-level judgment.
