Job summary

Springfield Hospital, Inc. seeks a Quality and Risk Management Clinical Specialist to lead clinical activities in Quality, Risk and Compliance. The role uses nursing expertise to review data and advance patient safety within the hospital's quality programs.

The position is part-time and on-site, requiring four 6-hour shifts per week. Relevant nursing credentials and 2 years of clinical experience are expected, with Vermont RN licensure preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or certificate from an accredited nursing school.
• BSN from an accredited school of nursing is preferred.
• At least 2 years of clinical experience.
• Licensed RN in good standing (Vermont or compact state preferred).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and strong communication skills.
• Current Vermont nursing standards knowledge.

The Quality and Risk Management Clinical Specialist will:

• Act as the lead clinical staff member in Quality, Risk and Compliance department, carrying out a variety of quality and patient safety functions to support the hospitals quality and safety plan and programs.
• Use clinical nursing knowledge and abilities in data review, to help ensure the continuous evolution of quality and safe care.

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or certificate from an accredited school of nursing
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing (preferred)
• 2 years of clinical experience
• Demonstrated skills in participating in and/or leading quality initiatives in a hospital setting (preferred)
• Active Vermont Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing or compact state RN license in good standing. (preferred)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.)
• Effective people skills, teamwork, and communication
• Current in Vermont nursing standards, as applicable

Salary Range

The base rate for this position is $35.84 - $52.21 per hour. The hourly range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the position. The rate for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate.
