Vertex Pharmaceuticals LLC is seeking a Quality Analytics Manager to drive data-driven decision making within the Quality organization. You will partner with business teams to design and deliver data models and analyses that enhance Vertex delivery and oversight.

Ideal candidates have strong data analysis, visualization, and statistics skills, with pharma or regulated industry experience and a quantitative degree. This role offers opportunities for growth and competitive total rewards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or Data Science.
  • Around 4 years of experience in data analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends in complex data sets to support decision-making.
  • Develop data analyses, collection systems and strategies to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Generate and maintain metrics for leadership governance of quality systems.
  • Document data life cycles, sources and data custody processes.
  • Design methods for collecting, storing, and reporting data from multiple systems.
  • Identify projects suitable for quantitative review and continuous improvement.

Job Description General Summary

The Quality Analytics Manager utilizes data analysis skills and tools to evaluate Vertex operations, processes, and systems and recommends strategic process improvements based on research findings. This role is a key contributor in driving data‑centric decision making within the Quality organization. The role also advises and supports business partners in design and delivery of data models and data analysis that enhance Vertex delivery and oversight.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Identifies, analyzes, and interprets trends and patterns in complex data sets and prepares ongoing reports and data visualizations to support decision‑making
  • Develops and implements data analyses, data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
  • Generates and maintains metrics for Quality Leadership Teams to permit effective governance of Vertex quality systems and activities
  • Identifies and documents data life cycles, data sources and chain of custody
  • Develops methods for collecting, storing, analyzing and reporting on multiple data types taken from disparate systems
  • Identifies projects or initiatives that could benefit from quantitative review
  • Identifies and contributes to the implementation of continuous improvement opportunities
Knowledge and Skills
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience in developing queries, report writing, and data visualization
  • Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (R, SPSS, SAS etc)
  • Experience using data analysis and visualization applications (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau) and with data analysis techniques
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical and/or biotech industry or a comparable regulated industry
  • Awareness of regulations applicable to pharmaceutical and/or device development, manufacturing and distribution
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Data Science or a related field
  • Typically requires 4 years of experience in data analysis and reporting or the equivalent combination of education and experience
Pay Range

$114,400 - $171,600

Disclosure Statement

The range provided is based on what we believe is a reasonable estimate for the base salary pay range for this job at the time of posting. This role is eligible for an annual bonus and annual equity awards. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirements. Actual base salary pay will be based on a number of factors, including skills, competencies, experience, and other job‑related factors permitted by law.

Flex Designation

Remote‑Eligible Flex Eligibility Status: In this Remote‑Eligible role, you can choose to be designated as: 1. On‑Site: work five days per week on‑site with ad hoc flexibility. Note: The Flex status for this position is subject to Vertex’s Policy on Flex @ Vertex Program and may be changed at any time.
