Job summary

RTX is seeking a Quality Analyst to improve quality, reliability, and continuous improvement across engine programs. You will identify systemic COPQ drivers, lead RCCA efforts, and influence shop-level improvements while supporting EIS activities and internal auditing.

  • Experience implementing data-driven process improvements across multiple functions.

What You Will Do:

As a Quality Analyst, you will play a key role in improving quality, reliability, and continuous improvement across our engine programs. This is more than a traditional quality role—you’ll have the opportunity to identify the systemic issues driving Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ), lead meaningful Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) efforts, and influence improvements across the shop and multiple engine models. You will also conduct internal audits to ensure robust processes and compliance. You’ll work closely with Operations, Engineering, and Quality leadership to turn data and shop floor insights into sustainable solutions, while also supporting Entry Into Service (EIS) activities and internal auditing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive Cost ofPoor Quality (COPQ) reductionacross the shopby identifying trends, investigating qualityescapes and recurringissues, and developingsustainable solutions.

  • Identify and eliminatesystemic quality issuesthat contribute toCOPQ across theentire shop andmultiple engine models, moving beyond individualdefects to addressroot causes andprevent recurrence.

  • Lead and facilitateRoot Cause andCorrective Action (RCCA) activities, ensuring problems arethoroughly investigated, corrective actions areeffective, and solutionsare sustained overtime.

  • Coach and mentorsupervisors and shopleadership on RCCAmethodologies, building organizationalcapability and empoweringteams to effectivelysolve quality problemsat the source.

  • Partner closely withsupervisors, technicians, engineering, operations, and other keystakeholdersto understand challengeson the shopfloor, build trust, and drive collaborativequality improvements.

  • Strengthen relationships with key stakeholders by serving as a hands-on quality partner and connecting shop-floor insights with data-driven quality strategies.

  • Analyze quality dataand trendsto identify opportunitiesfor proactive interventionand prioritize theissues with thegreatest impact toquality, cost, delivery, and customer satisfaction.

  • Facilitate Entry Into Service (EIS) activities to ensure all shop requirements are identified and met to begin MRO of a new engine model.

  • Conduct internal auditsto evaluate processadherence, identify opportunitiesfor improvement, andhelp ensure robustand effective qualityprocesses throughout theMRO operation.

  • Track the effectivenessof corrective actionsand continuous improvementefforts, ensuring improvementsdeliver measurable andsustainable reductionsin COPQ.

  • Promote a cultureof continuous improvementand quality ownershipthroughout the shopby engaging employeesat all levelsand helping teamsproactively identify andaddress sources ofvariation and waste.

  • Influence quality performanceacross the full operation, balancing immediate problemresolution with long‑term strategies that improve processes acrossengine models andshop functions.

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • A Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of experience in quality assurance (QA), continuous improvement, aircraft maintenance, or similar related role, OR an Associate’s Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience, OR, in lieu of a degree, a High School diploma and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience.

Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Quality assurance experience in the aerospace industry

  • Previous experience supporting internal audits and conducting RCCAs.

  • Previous experience implementing continuous improvement initiatives in a regulated environment (ACE, Lean Six Sigma, CORE, etc.)

  • Proven experience implementing process improvements using data driven decision making across multiple business functions (operations, engineering, quality, etc.)

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
