Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 3 years exempt experience; Master’s Degree and 1 year experience
• NNS Apprentice School graduate
• Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
• Associate’s Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience
• Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience
• High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience
• High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement program quality plans, programs, and procedures using statistical quality control statistics, lean manufacturing concepts, and six-sigma tools and analyses.
• Ensure that performance and quality products conform to established company and regulatory standards.
• Review, analyze and report on quality discrepancies related to assembly, process, mechanical, electrical and electro-mechanical systems.
• Investigate problems and develop disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies.
• Interface with manufacturing, engineering, customer, vendor and subcontractor representatives to ensure requirements are met.
• Recommend corrective actions, dispositions and modifications.

Education

NNS Apprentice School

NNPS (Navy Nuclear Power School)

Associate's Degree or 2-year program + 2 years exempt or 4 years non-exempt

Military Paygrade E-5 or above

High School/GED + 4 years Manufacturing/Shipbuilding/Trades/Military (exempt)

High School/GED + 8 years Manufacturing/Shipbuilding/Trades/Military (non-exempt)
