Job summary

Jobtailor in Goose Creek, SC seeks a results-driven quality program professional to develop and implement quality plans across mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical systems. The role focuses on reducing discrepancies and ensuring compliance with standards and regulations.

The ideal candidate will analyze quality data, investigate issues, and drive corrective actions in collaboration with manufacturing, engineering and suppliers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 6 years exempt experience or Master’s degree with 4 years exempt experience.
  • NNS Apprentice School graduate OR NNPS graduate OR Associate's degree with 2 years exempt experience OR 4 years non-exempt experience.
  • Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience.
  • High School/GED with 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other exempt experience.
  • High School/GED with 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other non-exempt experience.
  • Microsoft Office Suite experience (Nice to Have).
  • Auditing experience (Nice to Have).

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement program quality plans, programs, and procedures using statistical quality control, lean, and six-sigma tools.
  • Ensure performance and quality products conform to standards.
  • Review, analyze and report on quality discrepancies related to various systems.
  • Investigate problems and develop disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies.
  • Interface with manufacturing, engineering, customer, vendor, and subcontractor representatives to meet requirements.
  • Recommend corrective actions, dispositions and modifications.

Job description

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement program quality plans, programs, and procedures using statistical quality control statistics, lean manufacturing concepts, and six‑sigma tools and analyses.
  • Ensures that performance and quality products conform to established company and regulatory standards.
  • Reviews, analyzes and reports on quality discrepancies related to assembly, process, mechanical, electrical and electro‑mechanical systems.
  • Investigates problems and develops disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies.
  • Interfaces with manufacturing, engineering, customer, vendor and subcontractor representatives to ensure requirements are met.
  • Recommends corrective actions, dispositions and modifications.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of relevant exempt experience; Master’s Degree and 4 years of relevant professional experience
  • NNS Apprentice School graduate OR Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate OR Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience OR 4 years of relevant non‑exempt experience
  • Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience
  • High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience
