Pace® Analytical Services is seeking a Quality Analyst 2 to support the Building Sciences East laboratories. The role reports to the local Quality Manager and involves analysis, administration, and oversight of quality policies and procedures.

Strong attention to detail, organization, independence, and collaboration are essential. Preferred candidates have QA or lab experience in accredited settings (TNI, AIHA, NVLAP, or ISO17025) and familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.

Qualificações

  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, or a closely related field, plus at least 1 year of lab/quality experience.
  • Experience with QA processes, policy oversight, and documentation handling.
  • Experience with computer applications, ideally Microsoft Office.

Responsabilidades

  • Overseeing or reviewing, completing, and processing a wide-range of quality forms, documents, databases, and related materials.
  • Provides trend analysis and compiles report metrics for QM and staff regarding the quality program and lab practices.
  • Tracks and maintains calibration status of various laboratory equipment.
  • Participates in internal and external audits, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning with various departments to resolve discrepancies.
  • Provides or participates in training on quality systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Interprets and applies department policies and procedures in accordance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations; receives guidance within these areas as needed.
  • Contributes to the efficiency and effectiveness of the department’s service to its customers by offering suggestions and directing or participating as an active member of a work team.
  • Promotes and supports the overall mission of Pace by demonstrating courteous and cooperative behavior when interacting with customers and staff; acts in a manner that promotes a harmonious and effective workplace environment.

Quality Analyst 2

Compensation: $22.00 per hour

Shift: Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM

Summary:

We are actively seeking a candidate to join our Quality Assurance (QA) team with the Building Sciences East laboratories. This position reports to the local Quality Manager and is responsible for providing analysis, administration and oversight of quality policies and procedures. The ideal candidate is one who has a strong attention to detail and organization skills and is comfortable working independently or as a team. The ideal candidate is also self-motivated, demonstrating a strong work ethic and flexibility to adapt to a dynamic work environment and changes in work priorities. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative environment and is comfortable working with various areas of the laboratory.

Preferred qualifications include previous laboratory or QA experience in a TNI, AIHA, NVLAP, or ISO17025 accredited laboratory. Experience with Microsoft Office applications is ideal.

Requirements:
  • Basic understanding of the administration and oversight of quality programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Basic understanding of root cause analysis and the corrective action process.
  • Basic understanding of lab equipment and calibration.
  • Knowledge of computer applications such as Microsoft Office tools. Advanced knowledge of Excel is preferred.
  • Correct business English, including spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, or a closely related field; AND at least one (1) year of experience working in laboratory operations or quality; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Working Environment:
  • Work is performed in a lab and office setting. Work is subject chemicals, fumes, gasses, noxious odors and related items in a lab setting.
