Fund for Public Health in NYC seeks a Qualitative Research Manager to lead qualitative research efforts and supervise the Qualitative Research Analyst within the Bureau of Epidemiology Services. The role emphasizes developing qualitative plans, protocols, and instruments for studies on gender-affirming care and LGBTQIA+ health in NYC.

The position requires extensive qualitative research experience, strong writing skills, and the ability to translate findings into policy-relevant narratives.

Competenze

• . Master’s or doctoral degree in qualitative research, sociology, anthropology, or related field, or bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of research experiences.
• . 5+ years of qualitative research experience, including data collection, coding, and analysis.
• . Experience supervising analysts or research teams.
• . Ability to translate qualitative findings into policy-relevant narratives.
• . Strong organizational and writing skills.

Mansioni

• Collaborate on projects with NYC researchers focusing on gender-affirming care and LGBTQIA+ communities.
• Identify areas for qualitative research support for gender-affirming care projects and co-develop plans.
• Supervise qualitative data collection, conduct analysis, and oversee coding and synthesis.
• Supervise the Qualitative Research Analyst in data collection and analysis.
• Draft summaries of qualitative findings and contribute to mixed-methods reports.
