The Fund for Public Health in New York City (FPHNYC) seeks a Qualitative Research Manager to lead qualitative and mixed-methods projects focused on gender-affirming care and TGNCNB/LGBTQIA+ health in NYC. You will supervise a Qualitative Research Analyst and collaborate with researchers across DOHMH.

This role requires advanced qualitative methods, strong writing, and the ability to translate findings into policy-relevant insights, with a hybrid 3/2 schedule in NYC.

Qualifikationen

• Master's or Doctoral degree in qualitative research, sociology, anthropology, or a related field, or a Bachelor's with 8+ years of research experience.
• 5+ years of qualitative research experience, covering data collection, coding, and analysis.
• Experience supervising analysts or research teams.
• Ability to translate qualitative findings into policy-relevant narratives.
• Strong organizational and writing skills.

Aufgaben

• Collaborate with NYC researchers conducting qualitative or mixed-methods research on gender affirming care and LGBTQIA+ communities.
• Identify areas where qualitative research support is needed and co-develop research plans, protocols, and instruments.
• Supervise qualitative data collection and conduct qualitative data analysis, including coding and thematic development.
• Manage and support the Qualitative Research Analyst through data collection, processing, and analysis activities.
• Draft summaries of qualitative findings and contribute qualitative components to reports.
