ReDiscover is seeking a Qualified Mental Health Professional to join our Partial Hospitalization Program.

ReDiscover has been a non-profit community mental health center in southeastern Jackson County, Missouri for over 50 years. Our mission is to deliver efficient and cost-effective treatment for those we serve. Our diverse team of over 700 employees is “Passionate About People” as we support our community, especially individuals affected by mental illness or substance use.

WHAT WE DO

Our Partial Hospital and Intensive Outpatient Program (PHP/IOP) provides acute stabilization through intensive individual and group therapy with a team-based approach utilizing various therapeutic techniques. This short-term outpatient day treatment program typically lasts 1-3 weeks.

Typical responsibilities include:

  • Managing a caseload of 7-10 clients with diverse backgrounds.
  • Evaluating clients’ mental health through assessments, evaluations, and diagnostics.
  • Gathering information via interviews, observations, and tests to maintain treatment records.
  • Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans.
  • Counseling clients individually and in groups to support recovery and life adjustments, maintaining confidentiality.
  • Documenting client interactions in the electronic medical record.
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care and ensure effective communication.

Requirements before starting:

  • Master’s or Doctorate Degree in a social science field as defined by the Department of Mental Health.
  • Provisional License (LMSW, PLPC, or MFT) in Missouri.
  • Availability to work Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm.
  • Knowledge of mental health and substance use disorders.
  • Excellent customer service and recovery-focused approach.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Intermediate skills in typing, Microsoft Word, Excel, and G-Suite.
