Job summary

Allen Aircraft Products Inc. is seeking a test technician to functionally test assemblies and operate precision test equipment. You will read blueprints, document results, and work with pressure transducers, DAQ systems, and flowmeters to simulate operating conditions.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED with 1–6 months of related experience; industrial lab exposure and basic electrical knowledge are preferred, with 3–6 years mechanical testing experience advantageous.

Qualifications

• Industrial lab exposure and blueprint reading preferred, plus basic electrical knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Functionally test assemblies by performing the duties described.
• Operate test equipment to gather data on performance under simulated conditions.
• Read and interpret blueprints, Test Procedures, and work instructions.
• Record test results and maintain test equipment for accuracy.
• Confers with customer personnel regarding test procedures and results.
• Install valves and test specimens in equipment and connect accessories.
• Troubleshoot and ensure proper calibration of testing gear.

Summary

Functionally test assemblies by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Computer Skills are a must, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Troubleshooting skills.
• Understanding fluid and air setups.
• Working with calibrated equipment, Pressure Transducers, DAQ system, Flowmeters, and temperature sensors.
• Installs valves and test specimens in test equipment and connects accessories and power sources.
• Operates test equipment to gather data on performance of parts and assemblies under simulated operational conditions.
• Performs test in accordance with the test procedure.
• Maintain and monitor test equipment as necessary to assure continued accuracy.
• Record test results
• Reads and interprets blueprints, Test Procedures, and other work instructions.
• Confers with customer personnel regarding test procedures and test results

Work Schedule

1st - 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m

EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one to six months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous industrial lab exposure, blueprint reading, and basic electrical knowledge preferred, including minimum of three to 6 years of mechanical experience with hydraulic and pneumatic equipment testing.

Compliance Requirements

Must be able to pass an FAA regulated drug and alcohol test.

Pay Scale range and Job title would be based on ability to perform duties and experience.
