Job summary

Pathway Group in Seal Beach, CA is seeking Lab Technicians to support product testing from development to quality inspections. You will operate mechanical testing machines, perform routine tests on prepregs, adhesives, plastics and other materials, and assist with data collection.

You will collaborate with Engineering Unit Members on approved flammability testing, such as Multipurpose Bunsen Burner Testing, FAA/NBS Smoke Density Testing, and FAA/OSU Heat Release Testing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; technical degree or trade certification preferred.
• Experience: none required.
• Fluent in English (written, oral and presentation) is essential.

Responsibilities

• Set-up, conduct and monitor mechanical testing, including data acquisition systems.
• Maintain test equipment and fixtures in good working order.

JOB SUMMARY

Lab Technician(s) are involved in nearly every aspect of product testing and analysis. From research and development to process control monitoring, qualification, and certification, testing supports every facility and nearly every program.
Lab Technicians run not only mechanical testing machines to determine material properties, but also perform a variety of routine physical tests on prepregs, adhesives, plastics and other received goods in support of quality inspections.
Lab Technicians work closely with Engineering Unit Members (EUMs) to perform approved flammability testing, such as Multipurpose Bunsen Burner Testing, FAA/NBS Smoke Density Testing, and FAA/OSU Heat Release Testing.
