Job summary

The Wildlife Society is seeking a Quail Operations Manager for a premier Southeast Georgia private property. This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing the quail hunting program, dog kennel operations, and habitat development.

You will manage 12–15 dogs, lead field operations, and ensure safety and high standards while residing on-site. Significant experience in upland hunting and kennel management is essential.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in quail or upland hunting operations.
• Hands-on experience training, handling and caring for pointing dogs.
• Ability to supervise a small support team and kennel operations.
• Willingness to reside on-site and work outdoors in varying conditions.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, management and day-to-day operation of the quail hunting program.
• Establish and maintain standards for a first-class hunting experience.
• Oversee a working string of 12–15 dogs and plan for growth.
• Develop quail courses to support the hunting program.
• Manage field preparation, equipment and related needs.
• Recruit, train and supervise assistants for kennel, hunting and land ops.
• Collaborate with leadership to set priorities and improve the program.
• Support habitat-management efforts to improve quail habitat.
