Job Title: Salesforce Billing - Solution Architect

The Solution Architect is a subject matter expert responsible for client delivery, proposals, new business opportunities, and knowledge management on Salesforce Billing projects. They work closely with the Product Owner and Technical Architect to understand requirements and develop high-quality solutions.

Responsibilities

1. Serve as the technical leader for Salesforce Billing projects onsite at client locations.
2. Translate business requirements into well-architected solutions leveraging Salesforce Billing platform.
3. Provide detailed effort estimates and communicate benefits and risks of solutions.
4. Offer hands-on technical assistance to developers.
5. Stay updated on new Salesforce product and technical capabilities.
6. Assist in sales efforts with technical effort estimates and client presentations.
7. Participate in marketing events and demonstrate thought leadership.
8. Mentor junior team members and lead technical discussions.
9. Create high-level architecture diagrams understandable to both technical and business audiences.
10. Optimize product configurations to meet billing requirements.
11. Guide clients on billing strategies.
12. Act as the solution owner, ensuring project scope and outcomes are on track.
13. Conduct candidate interviews.
14. Travel up to 50% as required.

Qualifications

1. 7+ years of CRM industry experience and/or CPQ/Billing implementation experience.
2. 2+ successful Salesforce Billing implementations.
3. Understanding of Salesforce CPQ and its relation to Salesforce Billing.
4. Minimum 3 years of Salesforce platform experience (4+ preferred).
5. Deep understanding of data models and product/pricing master data management.
6. Knowledge of the full billing cycle, including invoicing, payment gateways, revenue recognition, financial reporting, and ERP integration.
7. Experience in B2B or B2C E-Commerce is highly desirable.
8. Excellent client-facing communication skills.
9. Experience as a Solution Architect on 3+ long-term projects.
10. Active Salesforce certifications or ability to obtain them within the first months.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this role is $122,000 - $225,000 for Principal Architect and $140,000 - $258,000 for Senior Delivery Principal Architect, plus potential bonuses. Compensation depends on experience, skills, and location.
