Job Description

This person will be responsible for the corrective action process, the internal audit process, and the document control process.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and revise Quality Management System (QMS) procedures and work instructions as necessary to comply with ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100D standards.
• Facilitate review and disposition of updates to Quality Management System procedures and work instructions.
• Train process owners of the QMS procedures and work instructions on the proper content and level of detail in each type of document to ensure consistency across the QMS.
• Create, coordinate, and facilitate all internally issued corrective actions with assignees.
• Assist manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams in determining effective corrective actions.
• Verify completed corrective actions are effective in preventing the reoccurrence of the original problem and root causes.
• Track status and issue monthly metrics for internal and external corrective actions for review by the management team.
• Perform internal audits and identify quality system improvements to ensure compliance with the ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100D quality standards.
• Assist Quality staff during QMS audits by customers and external auditors.
• Other duties as assigned or required within the Quality function to meet customer or business needs.

Desired Skills and Qualifications

• Experience working in a manufacturing company with ISO9001:2015 and AS9100D accreditation.
• Experienced user of BPA or other Quality software that manages document control, non-conformance reports, and corrective action reports.
• Experience performing root cause analysis using 5-Why, 8D Problem Solving, or Fishbone Diagram methods.
• Experience with QMS audits performed by customers and external auditors.
• Experience with QMS internal audits.
• Excellent English written and oral communication skills.
• Action-oriented and resilient, staying composed and focused under stress. Comfortable with ambiguity and change.
• Quality oriented and high attention to detail.
• Experienced user of Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, etc.)
