Heart of Texas Behavioral Health Network in Waco, TX seeks a QMHP-CS I/II-Caseworker I/II/Housing Navigator to help homeless individuals locate housing with Continuum of Care partners.
The role liaises with landlords, coordinates services, and maintains documentation. A bachelor’s degree is required; one year of case management is preferred. The position offers a 40-hour work week with a salary of $45,000–$52,965 and full benefits.
The Housing Navigator will work closely with area Continuum of Care agencies to locate housing for homeless individuals. Locating appropriate housing can be difficult. Being low-income, homeless and disabled makes the process even more difficult. The Housing Navigator will walk the consumer through the process of locating and applying for appropriate housing. They will follow the consumer from the time they are approved for a supported housing program up until their lease signing. The Housing Navigator will also act as liaison between area landlords and the Continuum of Care to develop relationships to increase the availability of affordable housing. They will also respond to concerns a landlord may have with a consumer in one of the Continuum of Care housing programs.
Hours: Mon-Fri 8am-5pm
