Job summary

Rolling Hills Healthcare Center in New Albany, IN, is hiring a Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) to join our team on a full-time 12-hour day shift. You will provide routine medication administration and personal care to residents to ensure high-quality care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Graduate of an approved Nurse Aide Training Program or eligible and pass a state test within 120 days
• Understanding of medication administration procedures
• Ability to perform basic math
• Understanding of resident care procedures and standards
• Ability to make independent decisions when warranted
• Prior healthcare experience desirable
• Ability to work tactfully with staff, residents, families, visitors and the public

Responsibilities

• Set up and administer medications per physician orders and state/federal regulations
• Chart routine medications, omissions, PRN meds and follow-up observations
• Maintain medication inventory and rounds with nurse/physician
• Provide personal care and basic nursing functions as required
• Create a safe, clean environment and maintain resident documentation
• Attend scheduled trainings and orientation to maintain certification
