Job summary

Indiana Treatment Centers in Muncie, IN is seeking Qualified Medication Aides (QMAs) to join our care team. You will administer medications under supervision of a licensed nurse and support clients in Detox and Residential levels of care.

Ideal candidates have a QMA certification (Indiana), CNA pathway, BLS, and a commitment to trauma-informed, compassionate care within a 24/7 setting. Training and ongoing certification are provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Current Indiana QMA certification.
• CNA certification.
• Completion of a state-approved 100-hour QMA course.
• Successful completion of written and skills examinations.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or able to obtain within 30 days).
• Able to pass background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications as delegated by the supervising nurse and in compliance with Indiana QMA regulations.
• Document all medication administration in the EMR.
• Report medication errors, omissions, or variances promptly to the supervising nurse.
• Monitor and report client responses to medications, including side effects.
• Assist with medication counts, secure storage, and chain-of-custody procedures.
• Support nursing staff with vital signs and delegated clinical tasks.
• Maintain a safe, trauma-informed environment.
• Adhere to Joint Commission and state/federal regulatory standards.
• Participate in required training and maintain QMA certification.
