Job summary

Mane Contract Services is seeking an experienced Offshore Medic to join the Wind Creation vessel for the Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind Farm project. You will oversee medical care, occupational health and hygiene, and support the wider QHSE function onboard.

The role involves emergency care, medical facilities management, health surveillance, records and KPIs, and participation in drills and safety meetings on an international offshore wind project lasting 5 weeks on / 5 weeks off.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years' experience as Offshore Medic in high-risk industries.
  • Offshore Wind experience is advantageous.
  • Licensed Medic with Offshore/ HSE Medic qualification.

Responsibilities

  • Provide medical and emergency care to personnel onboard.
  • Manage medical facilities, equipment, medication and supplies.
  • Support occupational health, hygiene and health surveillance activities.
  • Maintain medical records, reports and KPIs.
  • Support emergency drills and onboard safety activities.
  • Promote strong HSE awareness across the workforce.
  • Support incident investigations and medical-related matters.

Job description

Location: Offshore / Vessel – international project

Working hours: 12 hours per day

Contract: Offshore assignment

About the Role

Our client is a leading international contractor operating across offshore energy, marine infrastructure and environmental projects.

They are looking for an experienced Offshore Medic to join the team onboard an offshore wind project. You will take responsibility for medical care, occupational health and hygiene, medical facilities and supporting the wider QHSE function onboard.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide medical and emergency care to personnel onboard.
  • Manage medical facilities, equipment, medication and supplies.
  • Support occupational health, hygiene and health surveillance activities.
  • Maintain accurate medical records, reports, statistics and KPIs.
  • Support emergency drills, training and emergency preparedness.
  • Participate in toolbox talks, meetings and onboard safety activities.
  • Carry out HSE and medical inspections and follow up on findings.
  • Support incident and non-conformity investigations.
  • Promote strong HSE awareness across the workforce.
  • Support the project team with QHSE and medical-related matters.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years' experience as an Offshore Medic within a high-risk industry.
  • Offshore Wind experience is advantageous.
  • Licensed Medic with recognised Offshore Medic / HSE Medic qualification.
  • NEBOSH Certificate/IDIP or equivalent experience is advantageous.
  • GWO Basic Safety or BOSIET with relevant GWO modules.
  • GWO Enhanced First Aid / Advanced Rescue is advantageous.
  • Valid Offshore Medical.
  • Chester Step Test (or equivalent).
  • Valid US B1 OCS WIND Visa.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • Must be fit and able to work offshore and travel internationally.
