Job summary

MCC Label is seeking a QEHS Manager to lead the Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety programs at our Chesapeake site. You will ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements while driving a culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities include leading the QMS and BRC certification efforts, managing audits and KPI reporting, and guiding corrective actions and investigations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in quality, EHS, or manufacturing leadership.
• Knowledge of QMS, BRC, PPOC, auditing, corrective actions.
• Understanding OSHA and environmental compliance.
• Experience leading audits and cross-functional improvement initiatives.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with quality/EHS systems; VelocityEHS preferred.
• Certifications (Lean Six Sigma, ASQ, OSHA) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and maintain the site's QMS, BRC, PPOC, and EHS management systems.
• Ensure compliance with customer requirements, OSHA, environmental regulations, and corporate policies.
• Manage customer complaints, non-conformances, incident investigations, corrective actions, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Monitor and report quality, food safety, environmental, and safety KPIs; identify trends and implement corrective actions.
• Serve as the primary site contact for customer audits, BRC audits, regulatory inspections, corporate assessments, and compliance activities.
• Oversee document control, internal audits, management reviews, traceability exercises, environmental programs, emergency preparedness, and regulatory reporting.
• Ensure hazards, near misses, incidents are reported, investigated, tracked, and closed in VelocityEHS with timely follow-up.
• Lead quality and safety onboarding for new employees on standards, BRC requirements, GMP expectations, hazard reporting, PPE, and site safety procedures.
• Provide leadership and oversight for three hourly direct reports, including attendance, timekeeping, training and development, and performance management.
• Partner with Plant Leadership to foster a culture of quality, safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
