Job summary

Divcon Controls is seeking a QAQC Tech to implement the Mission Critical HVAC Control QAQC plan under the QAQC manager. This office-based and field-facing role includes conformance checks and documentation across projects.

Shift hours are 2 p.m. to 2 a.m. You will inspect control panels, verify wiring, components, and labeling, perform I/O tests, and support continuous improvement in a fast-paced data-center environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; technical degree preferred.
• 1+ year of experience in panel assembly, wiring, or QC inspection.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and diagrams.
• Knowledge of control components (PLCs, relays, VFDs, DDC systems).
• Familiarity with UL 508A and NEC fundamentals.
• Proficiency with multimeters and torque tools.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process and final inspections of control panels.
• Verify wiring, components, torque, labeling, and workmanship.
• Conduct functional testing including I/O checks and power-up verification.
• Ensure compliance with schematics, BOMs, and customer specifications.
• Verify UL 508A compliance including SCCR and labeling requirements.
• Document inspections, non-conformances, and quality data.
• Support corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment.

About the role:

QAQC Tech will be responsible for implementing company’s Mission Critical HVAC Control QAQC plan, under supervision of the QAQC manager. This includes office-based analytical and reporting work, as well as traveling to any job site in the field to perform conformance checks and support.

Shift Hours: 2 p.m. to 2:00 am

Key Responsibilities:

Physical Requirements:

• Sit and/or stand for extended periods (typically 6-8 hours per day) while performing computer-based tasks and facility support activities


• Use hands and fingers to operate standard office equipment including computers, keyboards, telephones, and other devices


• Occasionally stand, walk, bend, stoop, or reach to access equipment or attend meetings.


• Lift, carry, push, or pull light objects weighing up to 20-25 pounds


• Have sufficient vision (with or without correction) to read computer screens, printed documents, and technical drawings; and sufficient hearing to communicate effectively by phone and in person. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment


• Work in a typical indoor office or data center support environment with moderate noise levels
