Job summary

Martin Marietta is seeking a Quality Control Specialist to conduct sampling and routine laboratory testing of aggregate materials at the Olathe Quarry. You will determine conformity to specifications using prescribed standards and maintain records in AggQC.

Responsibilities include operating lab equipment, collecting samples from conveyors and stockpiles, and communicating results to management and customers. A MODOT certification and safety-minded approach are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• State aggregate/material testing certification or eligibility for MODOT certification required.
• Minimum 2 years' QC experience in aggregate/soils/construction preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjustment and operation of laboratory equipment and instruments.
• Obtain material samples from conveyors, stockpiles and customer sites.
• Record and maintain test results in AggQC or forms.
• Report test results to management, DOT and customers.
• Inspect stockpiles for proper construction and loadout procedures.
• Maintain calibrated laboratory equipment and safety standards.
• Travel locally as required.
