Martin Marietta in California seeks an entry-level Quality Tech to support QA testing of aggregates and Hot Mix Asphalt. You will perform standard tests, maintain safety and environmental compliance, and communicate results to project teams.

Role requires a high school diploma or GED, CAPA A/B certification, and Radiation Safety training. No prior experience is required, with 6–12 months preferred, and a focus on quality and teamwork across sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or relevant experience.
• CAPA Levels A & B certification is required.
• Radiation Safety Training Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety policies and procedures with safety as the top priority.
• Support environmental compliance and maintain clean work areas.
• Perform routine testing of aggregates and HMA per standards.
• Monitor moisture, cleanliness, and uniformity to meet quality targets.
• Assist with sampling of raw materials and testing schedules.
• Evaluate new material sources under supervision and report issues.
• Interact with customers on job sites and guide on HMA placement.
• Conduct on-site testing to verify material specs and resolve concerns.
• Maintain logs of all testing and observations.
• Communicate daily HMA results to operations and management.
• Collaborate with teams to support quality objectives.
• Assist in implementing best practices for production and delivery.
• Participate in occasional lab work for training and projects.
