Responsibilities

• Performs routine testing including release testing, performance testing, analytical testing, bioburden testing, and environmental monitoring per GMP/GLP.
• Performs data analysis and results interpretations comparing to specifications, validity criteria, alert limits.
• Responsible for maintaining product and QC material inventories.
• Maintenance and cleanliness of the laboratory, stocking shelves/drawers with testing materials.
• Maintenance and cleanliness of equipment, calibrating or submitting items for calibration as needed.
• Completing training on time and maintaining records.
• Revising QC documents (SOPs, QSs) and participates in investigations.
• Training QC analysts on test methods.

Grifols Diagnostic Solutions Inc is seeking a Quality Control Support Analyst 3 to join our Immunohematology Quality Control department for Reagent Red Blood Cells (RRBC) and Gel Cards in San Diego, CA. This position will be reporting to the QC Supervisor. The primary job function of the QC Support Analyst 3 is to test and release raw materials, sub-assemblies or finished goods.

To be successful in this role, candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences or Chemistry with 0 to 2 years of relatable QC experience. Experience working and handling blood products, preferred.

Primary Responsibilities For Role

• Performs routine testing including release testing, performance testing, analytical testing, bioburden testing, environmental monitoring using GMP/GLP practices.
• Performs data analysis and results interpretations comparing to specifications, validity criteria, alert limits.
• Responsible for maintaining product and QC material inventories.
• Responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness of the laboratory, stocking shelves/drawers with testing materials.
• Responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness of equipment, calibrating or submitting items for calibration as needed.
• Responsible for completing training in a timely manner and maintaining the records.
• Responsible for revising QC documents (SOPs, QSs)Participates in Lab Investigations and Out of Specification investigations.
• Responsible for training QC analysts on test methods

The estimated pay scale for QC Support Analyst 3 role based in California, is $29.14 to $36.42 per hour. Additionally, the position is eligible to participate in up to 5% of the company bonus pool. Final compensation packages will ultimately depend on education, experience, skillset, knowledge, where the role is performed, internal equity and market data.
