About RADIUS:

RADIUS is a second-generation family-owned company that has been innovating and crafting high-quality, eco-friendly personal care products for over 40 years. As a certified B Corp, we are committed to sustainability and excellence in everything we do. We're currently seeking a dedicated Quality Compliance Specialist to join our team and help drive our commitment to quality and product integrity.

Job Overview:

The Quality Compliance Specialist will be responsible for establishing and maintaining robust quality control (QC) protocols for all RADIUS products manufactured on-site, including toothbrush molding, bristling, floss spooling, waxing, and flavoring, as well as overseeing the QC of incoming raw materials, components, and finished goods from contract manufacturers. This role will also support potential future growth, including in-house toothpaste mixing and filling.

A key focus of this position is ensuring all products comply with the strict standards set by the American Dental Association (ADA) and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for oral care products. The ideal candidate will implement structure, reporting, and tracking mechanisms to maintain compliance, prevent issues, and drive continuous improvement across all departments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality control protocols for all in-house manufacturing processes, including toothbrush molding, bristling, and floss spooling, as well as for incoming raw materials, components, and finished products.
  • Conduct thorough inspections and testing of incoming raw materials and components to ensure they meet RADIUS’ quality standards and comply with ADA and FDA requirements.
  • Establish and monitor tracking systems, coding, and lot numbers to ensure full traceability of all products, including those from contract manufacturers.
  • Maintain strict records of all quality issues, including documentation of corrective actions and resolutions, ensuring compliance with ADA and FDA guidelines.
  • Conduct regular audits and quality checks on contract-manufactured toothpaste batches to ensure they align with specifications and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with production, operations, and R&D teams to identify, investigate, and resolve quality issues while ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Proactively work with all departments to implement preventive measures to eliminate recurring quality concerns and align processes with ADA and FDA standards.
  • Prepare and issue quality incident reports, corrective action plans, and continuous improvement strategies.
  • Assist in establishing protocols for potential future in-house projects, such as toothpaste mixing and filling, in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Stay current on industry best practices, ADA, and FDA regulatory standards to continuously improve internal processes.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
  • Product Quality Compliance: Consistently meeting ADA and FDA quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Issue Resolution Time: Efficiently resolving quality issues with minimal impact on production timelines.
  • Documentation Accuracy: Maintaining thorough, accurate records of all quality incidents and resolutions.
  • Preventive Actions: Successfully implementing preventive measures to reduce recurring quality issues.
  • Incoming Material Quality: Ensuring incoming raw materials and components meet established standards, minimizing defects.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Demonstrated effectiveness in working with other departments to resolve quality challenges while maintaining compliance.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; a relevant associate degree or certification is a plus.
  • Previous experience in quality control, quality assurance, or compliance within a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Strong understanding of lot tracking, product coding, and maintaining traceable records for raw materials and finished products.
  • Experience with incoming raw material inspections, supplier quality management, and ADA/FDA compliance.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate complex quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate record-keeping and reporting.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and address quality issues.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles, continuous improvement processes, and ADA/FDA guidelines is a plus.
What We Offer:
  • Competitive salary
  • Comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and retirement plan.
  • Opportunity to work in a collaborative environment with a mission-driven team dedicated to sustainability and innovation.
  • Growth and development opportunities within a supportive and dynamic company.
