Job summary

Stemilt Growers is seeking a capable supervisor for our QC Shipping team in Washington. The role involves supervising, training, and hiring personnel, with responsibilities in discipline, paperwork, and problem solving. Strong communication with logistics and management is essential.

Qualifications include knowledge of WA grade standards, basic computer skills, and leadership abilities. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus; some Saturdays may be required in a day shift environment.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills are required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Leadership and supervisory abilities are needed.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Experience supervising/training staff is a plus.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and hire personnel.
• Discipline employees when needed.
• Complete appropriate administrative paperwork.
• Resolve problems as they arise.
• Read quality control reports.
• Communicate effectively with logistics, managers, mechanics, growers and vendors.
• Maintain focus on goals and staff objectives.
• Develop and enforce standard operating procedures.
• Model Stemilt Handbook and Safety programs.
• Other duties as needed beyond listed tasks.

Number of openings: 1 full-time, Year Round

Location: QC Shipping – NDC

Working Shift: Day Shift

Hours & Work Days: 7:00 am –3:30 pm, Monday - Friday; Some Saturdays will be required. May vary depending on production.

Qualification:

• Must have knowledge of WA state grade standards.
• Must have basic computer knowledge.
• Must have great verbal and written communication skills.
• Must have good leadership abilities.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Must be able to supervise/train employees.
• Must be able to work with little or no supervision.
• Oracle Discover knowledge is a plus.
• Previous supervisor experience a plus.
• Must be flexible with working schedule.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Duties:
