Fresenius Kabi in Melrose Park, IL is seeking a Scientist I in Quality Control. You will apply intermediate analytical chemistry skills and chromatographic methods (HPLC, TLC, FTIR, UV-Vis) and troubleshoot instrumentation to meet department objectives.

Responsibilities include updating SOPs in Documentum, guiding Associate Scientists, documenting testing per Good Documentation Practices, and prioritizing work. A B.S.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Chemistry, Biology or related physical science is required.
• 1–4 years of related pharmaceutical industry experience.
• Familiarity with cGMP and FDA regulations.
• Hands-on experience with chromatographic methods and chromatography data systems (Empower).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
• Excellent documentation practices in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine analytical testing using instrumental methods (HPLC, TLC, FTIR, pH, UV-Vis).
• Troubleshoot instrumentation and provide guidance as needed.
• Update SOPs/MOAs/Specifications in Documentum as delegated by supervisor.
• Document testing in compliance with Good Documentation Practices.
• Manage workload based on departmental priorities and priorities.
• Peer review data for accuracy and compliance.
• Articulate work-related issues clearly to management and peers.
