Job summary

Lilly is seeking a QC Leader of Leaders to build the QC leadership pipeline and drive cross-functional GMP operations, aligning with site production goals and inspection readiness.

The role leads Firstline QC Leaders, oversees multiple work units, mentors staff, manages budget and procurement, ensures data integrity (ALCOA+), and partners with Manufacturing, QA and Regulatory to drive continuous improvement and compliance. Based in Richmond, VA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a science, engineering, or related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in a GMP-regulated QC microbiology laboratory.
• 5+ years of people leadership experience.
• Experience leading and developing first-line supervisors across multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead Firstline QC Leaders and technical staff with objectives and development plans.
• Oversee and coordinate QC microbiology operations to meet production and supply needs.
• Represent QC in cross-functional/global forums and ensure inspection readiness.
• Execute all Quality Control activities in compliance with SOPs, GDP, ALCOA+, and cGMPs.
• Identify deviations, participate in investigations, and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Provide primary QC microbiology coverage and guidance until full team is recruited.
