Job summary

Lilly is constructing an advanced manufacturing facility for API production in Huntsville, Alabama. The Sr. Director – QC Laboratories will build and lead the quality laboratories organization, establish capabilities for automation, and support GMP manufacturing operations at the site.

The role requires extensive leadership, expertise in analytical operations and quality systems, and cross-functional influence across the Lilly network to enable a successful startup and ongoing excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, microbiology, engineering, or related discipline is required.
• 10+ years supporting complex analytical testing.
• 2+ years working in a GMP/cGMP environment.
• 5+ years leadership experience.
• Expertise in quality and compliance for analytical laboratories.
• Experience with regulatory submissions.

Responsibilities

• Build a high-quality organization in support of Quality Laboratory Operations.
• Maintain GMP compliance in all Laboratory Operations.
• Deliver the lab of the future vision including integrated digital, paperless processes.
• Coordinate laboratory related business planning and budget management.
• Ensure safe work environment and regulatory compliance.
• Recruit and develop site capabilities for a high-functioning QCL organization.
