Job summary

Lifecore Biomedical, LLC is seeking a QC Microbiologist I for the 2nd shift in Chaska, MN. The role focuses on accurate, reproducible QC testing to support manufacturing.

Responsibilities include in-process, final, and raw material testing; results documentation; and cleanroom qualifications. A BS in Microbiology and GMP experience are preferred. Schedule: Mon-Thu, 1:00pm–11:30pm; Starting salary $57,000–$61,000 with a $100 per pay period 2nd shift premium.

Qualifications

• BS in Microbiology or related life science.
• Experience in GMP lab applications.
• Basic understanding of biological technology and methodology.
• Working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software.
• Proven ability to work independently as well as function effectively as a team member.
• Proven ability to maintain a high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing on in-process product, final product, and raw materials for routine testing, validation testing, and stability testing.
• Communicate results through appropriate documentation and batch records, statistical analysis and trending.
• Acquire and maintain cleanroom and gowning qualification including maintaining proper hygiene and meeting physical challenges involved in the gowning process.
• Maintain awareness of and perform all support activities necessary for cleanroom work.
