Job summary

The American Red Cross is seeking a Quality Control Laboratory Technician for the 2nd shift in Dedham, MA. You will perform complex testing on blood products, interpret results, and ensure products are suitable for release to hospitals.

The role requires an associate degree in science or higher, lab equipment proficiency, and a collaborative team mindset. Training spans 4–6 weeks with a Monday–Friday schedule, followed by a Friday–Tuesday evening shift and a 4:00 pm–12:30 am work window.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in science or 36 credit hours in Math/Science, or a Bachelor’s in an applied science.

Responsibilities

• Perform moderate to high complexity lab testing on donor specimens and blood products.
• Identify and quarantine products/samples that don’t meet quality requirements.
• Maintain accurate inventory and support troubleshooting with cross-functional teams.
