Job summary

The American Red Cross is seeking a QC Laboratory Technologist in St. Louis, MO. This full-time role involves performing moderate to high complexity testing on donor specimens and blood products in a highly regulated environment.

The incumbent will ensure products are suitable for release and meet department goals while maintaining accurate records. An Associate degree in science or a Bachelor’s in an applied science is required, with 4+ years in a related lab or regulatory setting.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in science or Bachelor’s in an applied science.
• Minimum 4 years of related experience in a regulatory, laboratory, or manufacturing environment or equivalent.
• Must meet state and CLIA requirements where applicable.
• MLT (ASCP) or MT (ASCP) certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform moderate to high complexity laboratory testing procedures on donor specimens and blood products.
• Identify and quarantine products/samples that don’t meet quality requirements.
• Meet quality and quantity production and testing goals established by the department.
• Ensure products are suitable for release for distribution.
