Job summary

American Red Cross in Dedham, MA is seeking a Blood Component Manufacturing Technician. This union role involves processing blood products into transfusable components, performing quality checks, and maintaining detailed records.

The position requires attention to safety, teamwork, and accurate data entry in a fast-paced environment. You will work Tuesday through Saturday, 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM, with a starting pay of $21.85 per hour plus shift differentials.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of related experience in a regulatory, laboratory, or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Good computer skills and ability to use a wide variety of programs and laboratory equipment.
• Strong documentation and communication skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Meet quality and production goals while maintaining accurate documentation.
• Perform inventory management throughout manufacturing and distribution.
• Data entry and operation of computer programs for production, labeling, storage, and sample management.
• Make decisions based on visual inspection and information from other departments.
• Perform complex tasks such as pooled product manufacturing, freezing, washing, or deglycerolizing of blood products and pathogen reduction.
