Job summary

The American Red Cross in the United States is seeking a QC Lab Technologist to perform manufacturing, processing, and testing of blood products and interpret results before release to hospitals.

You will manufacture pathogen-reduced platelet products in a regulated environment, maintain accurate records, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality and timely delivery to healthcare partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an applied science is required.
• Ability to use a wide variety of lab or medical equipment and applicable software.
• Ability to work with a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform moderately to high complexity laboratory testing procedures and interpret donor specimens and blood products.
• Identify and quarantine products that don't meet quality requirements.
• Meet the quality and production goals established by the department.
• Ensure products are suitable for release for distribution.
• Prioritize workload to meet production and customer requirements.
